USS George Washington (CVN 73) supercarrier
USS George Washington (CVN 73) is an American nuclear-powered supercarrier, the sixth ship in the Nimitz class and the fourth United States Navy ship to be named after George Washington, the first President of the United States. It was built by Newport News Shipbuilding and was commissioned 4 July 1992. This massive aircraft carrier measuring 333m long, 78m wide, and 74m high.
USS George Washington also has a special phone popularly called as Obama Phone as this connects the captain of the ship directly to the President of the United States.
The ship cost over $4.5 billion in 2007 dollars to manufacture.
